The only son of two ordained Assemblies of God ministers, Rev. Dan Wilderman has followed the Lord Jesus Christ since he was five. His adult ministry vision has been to proclaim and teach God's Word, while providing pastoral leadership to the end that believers become equipped to lovingly introduce others to Jesus Christ, minister to fellow believers' needs, encourage others toward faithful service, and support worldwide missionary outreach in prayer and substance. He has continued in that vision since appointment as the District Director of Senior Adult Ministries.
Dan met Carolinda, his wife, in church
(where else?) while they were both teenagers. Married in 1965, Dan and Carolinda have served together in ministry, formally and informally, for over four decades. They have two married adult children and six grandchildren,
(he carries pictures!) and are amazed to have lived within driving distance of all of them.
Dan served his country as a Precision Instrumentman in the United States Navy in the middle 60s, from which he was honorably discharged upon completion of his enlistment. His college career bookended his military service, resulting in a Bachelor of Science from Drake University, in Des Moines, Iowa in 1970.
Dan spent most of the 70s and all of the next two decades in Pastoral ministry. Ten years in Northern Illinois was followed by nearly twenty years between two Assemblies of God in the Southern California District. Of those years, thirteen were spent as a staff Pastor, and the balance as Senior Pastor.
Dan’s spare time activities include music appreciation, reading for pleasure, woodworking and grandfathering. Carolinda, (who ministers full time in the office of one of our SoCal churches,) is accomplished in all things beautiful. Together they reside in Bethel Towers (a seniors’ high-rise owned by the District) where Dan also takes responsibility for the weekly chapel services for the residents.
