Dick & Jan Larson

After more than 30 years of international experience in the Hispanic world, Dick & Jan are now focusing their ministry on the United States, the second largest Hispanic nation in the world!  The U.S. southwest has the heaviest concentration of Hispanics in the nation and Los Angeles is the third largest Mexican city in the world!

The Larsons are involved in leading a team of nearly 100 Hispanic churches, departments and groups throughout Southern California.  As nationally appointed missionaries they minister to pastors and church leaders as well as local congregations.  Every day new people are coming to Christ!  New churches are coming into being, obtaining property and growing!  Each year Dick & Jan lead retreats for hundreds of Hispanic men, women, young people and pastors.  The spiritual hunger of these people is enormous!

Virtually every one of the more than 450 Assemblies of God churches in Southern California has a significant Hispanic population in its community.  Dick & Jan believe that each one of these Anglo churches has the potential of seeing an incredible spiritual harvest among their Hispanic neighbors.  They have had the privilege of helping many Anglo churches begin a ministry to Hispanic people.  The Larsons say that “All across Latin America, thousands are coming to Christ, miracles are happening, nations are being impacted, and societies are being changed.  It’s time that the exploding revival of Latin America arrives in the U.S. ”

A recent article in the Los Angeles Times reports that “Hispanic Pentecostal churches are changing the spiritual landscape of Los Angeles.”  It adds that “the Pentecostal revival that spread out all over the world from Azusa Street in Los Angeles has come home.  And, like the original revival, it needs to be multiracial and gender inclusive.”   Reaching responsive Hispanics may not just be the right thing to do - - it may also be the only way to save some of our major cities from spiritual disaster!
