Intercultural Mission & Goals

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Intercultural Ministries Department of the Southern California District Council of the Assemblies of God is to see an effective, culturally appropriate Pentecostal witness established to reach each one of the non-Anglo, non-Hispanics living here in Southern California with the Gospel, with the objective of establishing churches in each of the people groups.

Goals:

  1. Identify unreached people groups in Southern California that are in need of evangelism and church planting.
  2. Seek ways to create vision and burden in established churches to reach out to the ethnic groups surrounding them.
  3. Assist in finding, developing, and training workers to minister to ethnic groups.
  4. Support Asia Pacific Bible School and other ministerial training programs in the developing and training of ethnic workers.
  5. Assist established churches in reaching out to the ethnic groups surrounding them.
  6. Mentor ethnic pastors.
  7. Assist ethnic congregations in their relationship with the office of the Southern California District Council.
  8. Serve as the area director for the non-Hispanic ethnic-specific district affiliated churches.
