Effective Training

I had the privilege to introduce two new boys to the Lord. It was the best feeling ever to introduce them to God! Right now I am so pumped . . . Ha!

Just a few minutes after we started, I was able to introduce myself and the other leader to the mother of one of the new boys that came. She told me she wanted to speak to me after the class regarding her son. I told her ok and that I looked forward to meeting her son and having him make new friends. Halfway through the class I noticed he was dazing off, as if he had a lot on his mind. I could see the heaviness on him.

I asked him later if he had ever been prayed for. He told me no. I explained to him that God had a purpose for his life and was knocking on his heart. I explained that God wanted to do good things in his life if he would allowed God in. I told him that I wanted to pray for him and that he had the choice to make the Lord his friend. I then allowed him to return to play time.

After devotions I reminded him of the invitation to accept God as his Lord and Savior. The whole class got into one big circle and before I could ask the two boys anything further, they both asked if I could pray for them opening the door to introduce them to the Lord.

To God be all the glory!

Commander I. Nieves
