AG College Scholarships

Happy New Year to you from The Alliance for AG Higher Education offices in Springfield! May this new year be the best ever for you personally, plus the district in which you serve.

This letter is being sent to all District Superintendents and District Youth Directors regarding the $100,000 in scholarship money that is available to Assemblies of God high school seniors through the generosity of AGTrust. Last year we had the privilege of awarding scholarships to 10 very deserving AG high school students who came from 8 different districts (Alaska, Kansas, Michigan, Montana, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania/Delaware, South Dakota, and Southern Missouri).

The window is now open for the 2010 Riggs Scholarship applications! And perhaps there is a young person from your district that is eligible for this scholarship! We need your help in getting the word out about the availability of the applications!

Would you consider helping us spread the word about the Riggs Scholarship opportunities to students, parents, and pastors in your district? The deadline for the applications is February 15, 2010 so any help you can give us in the next few weeks would be greatly appreciated.

Here’s the important info:

  • Applications can only be accessed on the AGTrust website at: agtrust.org
  • AG students who are H.S. seniors and have demonstrated leadership potential through past AND present involvement in an AG church are eligible.
  • To receive the scholarship, the applicant must enroll as a full time student at an AG endorsed institution of higher learning.
  • Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.7 (unweighted 4.0 scale) OR an ACT score of 28/36 OR an SAT score of 1870/2400 to be considered.
  • Other criteria for consideration may be found on the info sheet of the application.
  • Applications must be sent to: AGTrust, 1445 N. Boonville Avenue, Springfield, MO 65802 no later than February 15, 2010 to be eligible.

Thanks in advance for your help in getting the word out via website, emails, letters, or any other methods you may choose! We believe that investing in students in your district is a very good thing! Help us communicate to them!

Please feel free to call our office if you have any questions regarding this matter.

Investing in the next generation,
